Nuala is awesome. She loved going down the falls during our Oregon camping trip. She and Bran both really wanted to do it, so finally we let them. Bran went once with Daddy. He liked the ride, but came up crying because the water was so cold. In the video you'll notice that many of the big people are wearing wetsuits, but little Bran and Nuala toughed it out without one. Nuala went down three times, and had a blast, the little thrill-seeker. I wish we could make the video full-screen, because you can't really see her wave to the camera, and then plug her little nose, let it go, and plug it again. AND you can't see the big grin she has on when she pops up out of that freezing water! Cousin McKenna goes first in the video, then Nuala on cousin Morgan's lap. Oh, that girl is something else! Not many 2-1/2 year olds brave The Falls. Next year she's going backwards...

Hi there ... this is Mom ...that was wonderful! Nuala is willing to try anything... I guess she was all nice and secure on Morgan's lap; it'd be a bit scary to go by herself! She loved it, one can tell ... sounds great, the water being nice and cold :) The weather showed the contrast one day last week: San Antonio 102, Seattle 68 ... I thought that was amazing!!! I was wishing we could trade :) Love you all, Mom (Dad too) xox
Wow!!! What a brave, adventurous Nuala! That looks like soooo much fun! I don't think our boys would like that, but our adventurous fish Paige (who also never seems to get cold) would LOVE to do this. We need to find out where it is!

The falls are soooo much fun! That one was the short drop spot, the other areas to the left of it have longer drops and shorter slides -- they're all so fun. But so cold! Maybe we'll look for a mini-wetsuit for poor Bran next year; he doesn't seem to handle the cold as well as his sis.
They're in southern Oregon, Julie, so maybe a little far...Paige would totally love them! As would you people who THINK you wouldn't! Nuala wasn't too interested in going it alone this year and, no, we wouldn't have sent her by herself anyway! Maybe next year... haha...
The reason the water is so cold is because it comes from Crater Lake. But it keeps it nice and clear! I'm ready to go back...a week camping isn't hardly enough.
I SO didn't go down the falls until someone bribed me with candy.

Awesome! Go Nuala! She was loving it, what a fun spot :0) Poor little Bran. How much do wet suits cost? I can just picture a little wetsuited Bran, ha ha!
