Summer Sledding

Okay. I know you've seen about 20 million beach pictures already, but this is probably the last time we'll go this summer/fall, and this is different because the kiddos are discovering the joy of boogieboarding (kind of), and they're just really cute, and hey, it's my blog, so I can put up whatever I want!!! ;)

Here are some pics from yesterday at the beach-that-we-are-kicking-ourselves-for-not-discovering-during-the-actual-summer-time, aka, Punta Colorada. Three times at this place is so not enough. We actually brought our boogie board and skimboard this time. And it's a great boogieboarding beach. Big waves, and an undulating shore, so it totally feels like a rollercoaster as you're shooting in. SO FUN. And my arms are sore today. Feels good! We took turns watching babies while the other was out. Sometimes Bran got worried about the parent playing in the water, it's really cute! Anyway, here is our "story" from yesteday :)

As we headed down the dunes to the water, we plunked Bran and Nuala on the board for a fun little ride. (This is at the end of the "fun ride." They didn't want to get off the board, but that's why it looks a little boring.)



They enjoyed it so much that Z had to lug them back up (several times) for another go. For some reason he was a little bit tired today, too...weird, huh?


Whee!!!! Yeah, they seemed to really, really like it!

Man, I love their faces here!!!! Z didn't want me to put this one up at first, because they look slightly, um...apprehensive? But really they had a blast. Looks like one wild ride...Space Mountain's got nothin' on the dunes!

This is not posed. Well, none of them are, but look at how that little fella is just clinging to his sister for dear life! You can almost see him thinking, "What? I survived? How...?"

And a little Daddy snuggle. Those are always good. Note Nuala's crazy hair. Also, Zachariah burned his scalp a little. We decided he needs a swim cap. Not only will it protect his delicate skin, but it will give him an even rounder-looking head. Studly.

The end. Except for this last picture, which is actually from last week. I just felt left out of the post, so you get me here. Trying to tan my left leg...that's the stubborn one. I'm happy to report that they both are fairly even! (For now)
