A boy and his blankie
Bran loves his blankie. It tries to live, hermit-like, upstairs to escape being dragged around everywhere. I'm pretty sure it dislikes being plopped in mud and covered with spider webs...or maybe that's just me projecting my feelings onto it, since then I have to clean it. Okay, okay, should clean it. Confession: sometimes I don't...but dirt is good for the immune system, right? Whichever it is, the few occasions it does make a downstairs appearance, that's what happens. Bran turns into Linus. I can't remember if Linus sucks his thumb. Bran does, but only when a blankie is involved. A mere glimpse, and pop! In it goes. If his blankie's not around, Nuala's is more than satisfactory.
And, this is what happens when he realizes a heartless metal door stands between him and his powder-blue beloved. Oh, my poor Bran!! The callousness of today's appliances! I'm sorry you've already had to learn that, despite their warm reputation, dryers can be oh-so-cold sometimes.

Mathias still drags his blue blanket around! Sometimes it smells horrible. The last time it went in to be washed he cried until it came out of the dryer. If he even sees me with it he wants it. I have to sneak it away from him and no other blanket works!!
That is so cute! I love the dryer picture and the way you described it, how something that provides such warmth can be so cold. So is Bran still sleeping through the night?
Your descriptions are oh so funny! How's the children's book going about Bran and Nuala? I love that! Colin is the same way. He loves to just sit with his blankie (bake-y) and pacifier. It is a HUGE blanket though, and really cumbersome to take on trips. Yet, we have to do it. I also concur about the dirt being more helpful than harmful :)
Oh wow...he looks just like Rowan! Although, Rowan is pretty much an equal opportunity blankie lover...any blanket he finds is worthy of a snuggle and a thumb suck. LOL...you'd think they were related or something...;o)
