8 Things about Nuala...

So, Nuala and Bran have been tagged. I am horrible, horrible, horrible at doing tags, but I found myself thinking about what I would write about IF I did this one, so I might as well! Y'all probably know a lot of this, seeing as how I always post about these kiddos, but here goes!

Nuala...

1. Loves to be tucked in at night. We'll put her in her crib, and she'll jump up, grab her blankie and hand it to you, then lie down and wait for you to tuck it all around her. Then she'll usually pop up again to play and read, but at least she got that first tuck-in. Also, if she ever wakes during the night, which is very rare, she'll point around for her blankie so she can be re-tucked.

2. Is a nurse-a-holic. This child LOVES to nurse. She could go for hours. Maybe not, but she's ready anytime, even if she's just eaten. Ironically, she stopped waking at night to nurse at 3 months, so maybe she's still making up for it during the day. Actually, WE stopped waking her to nurse at 3 months...poor child, she was probably relieved when her mean parents actually let her sleep.

3. Has no fear, it seems. She's a little daredevil and thinks it's hilarious to fling herself off things as Mom scrambles to catch her. The rascal! She loves people and makes friends super-easy, and just charges right into anything.

4. Is a head-banger. When she's upset, she quite deliberately bonks her head on the floor, sometimes pretty hard. She also will use whatever she happens to be holding and whack herself in the noggin with it, then look at us with the big O-shaped mouth, as if she's surprised.

5. Loves getting and giving kisses. She's latched on to the concept of getting her "owies" kissed, and will come to me now pointing at some random place and making kissy noises. Funny girl!

6. LOVES animals. In books, on walks, stuffed, plastic, wooden. Whatever. Loves 'em.

7. Is one tough cookie. She doesn't always appreciate Bran's playful advances (or not-so-playful, sometimes), and will loudly let him know, while defending herself very strongly. This trait, plus her brother's rowdy playfulness, makes for some loud and boisterous moments in our house. Is it bad that I usually find them funny, too?

8. Loves to accessorize. She always wants to wear hats or sunglasses. Bran won't keep that stuff on, but Nuala thinks she's just the cat's pajamas strutting around. Especially if she and Daddy are both wearing baseball caps or sunglasses, that's extra cool.

I love Nuala so much! I couldn't ask for a sweeter, funnier, cuter little girl, we're so blessed to have her!
