8 things about Bran...

And now, for Bran!

Bran...

1. Loves to wrestle. Nuala is usually his little partner, not always willingly. He's such a boy! Well, except that...

2. He also loves to wear Nuala's barrettes. More than Nuala loves to wear them. (Even better is a wrestling session while wearing a barrette, that's what the chase in the picture turned into) If she has one in, 9 times out of 10, he'll yank it out of her hair and come complaining to me as he tries to set it on top of his head. So, he wears barrettes often. He probably won't be pleased when he's older and sees all these cute pictures of him with his hair nicely held back, but it makes life easier now, and besides, what mom doesn't want pictures with which to embarrass her child in the future?

3. Can be a really good sharer. I'll give him two crackers and tell him that one's for Nuala, and most of the time he'll actually give it to her! Lately he's been taking a bite out of it and THEN giving it to her, but it still counts. I don't think I've ever seen Nuala share food with him, so this is worth noting.

4. Is a super snuggler! Especially if his blankie's involved, of course, but sometimes he just comes over for a snuggle. Nothing is better than a snuggly little one...

5. Is just about the thirstiest child I know. He glugs water down like it's...well, water. He can drink out of a big boy cup really well, now, and drains 3 or 4 little cups in a row. Over and over. I'm glad he drinks lots of water, though, very healthy.

6. Pees a lot. Ha! Just kidding! It just seemed to follow #5 well. Okay, he does pee a lot, but that's not what this one will be about. He is very mechanically-minded. Takes after his daddy. He loves to figure things out and then do them over and over and over. He gets frustrated sometimes when he knows exactly what he wants to do or have happen but his motor skills are not quite ready to cooperate yet.

7. Is a monkey in a little boy body. This child can CLIMB, I tell you! They both can climb well, but Bran is super fast and can zip up pretty much anything it seems. They are quite the handful to take to the park by myself, there are loads of things to climb that are just not very safe...rungs missing, huge gaps, etc., and they BOTH want to climb. Bran can scamper right up, he just instinctively seems to know the best way.

8. Is sensitive. Not only is his skin more sensitive than Nuala's, as in he sometimes has little reactions to food, but he's also more emotionally sensitive in more obvious ways right now. Like when Zac tickles me (he thinks I like it, but boy is he wrong! ...okay, I kinda like it, don't tell him ;) Bran gets worried, it's so cute! Not so much anymore, because we've really tried to show him it's "fun." And at the beach, when one of us would be in the water by ourselves, Bran would want to go watch us and fuss and worry. Did I mention it's really cute? I love protective little boys!

So there's a few things about Bran...I love him so much and can't imagine life without him! I'm excited every morning to start the day with my twins. Okay, sometimes I'd like it to start a tad bit later, but that's a minor inconvenience compared to the blessing of having them.
