fruit talk

Don't let this first shot of the video put you off. It's not about our fridge, as amazing as that is. It's about Maeve! Shocker. She busted out the word, "apple" yesterday, and luckily the camera was nearby. She also says "nana" in it, but that's old news. Just for the record, she says: mama, dada, chau, bye-bye, hi, hello, ball, NO!, nana and now apple. Or pretty close to all of those. And of COURSE not on cue when I'm trying to show her off... gotta make sure we know who's really in charge. Oh, she says, "ah-da!" when she hears a dog bark, too.

Also yesterday, she finally signed "cracker". Yep, big day. She would always just look at me when I'd do it, and not even attempt it herself. Probably because I was always about to give her a cracker anyway, so why bother asking? Yesterday while I was getting dinner ready I heard her say what sounded a little like "dada" but was just different enough to mean something else, so I turned around and there she was, a-knocking away on her elbow while eyeing the box of Triscuits. Yummm... Triscuits.

Holy cow, she's so clear! how come you didn't share this tidbit when I talked to you earlier?? I adore the little laugh at the end when she knows she's cute and that you're pleased with her, LOL. Sooo cute! Wow...her vocab is pretty big for 13 months!

Hi there ... oh that was so cute! I like how you teased it out of her, and on her 3rd try, she said it even better! It is quite impressive indeed ...she is SO cute! Love, Mom (Dad too) xox

Wow, she is so cute! It's so funny to hear her talking, and she says it so well! T still does not say banana...

Aww, T showed up when I was showing it to Marc, and she totally loved it! We had to watch it several more times, after you said M's name T started calling her May, and the last we watched she was giggling and calling her 'silly May'. We should get those two together to hang out ;)

Alex LOVED this video...we watched it many times! He is also very impressed that B&N's baby can walk. I know she has been at it for a while but, he just now saw the video of her. Austin is five months old and just babbles, but if he says anything that remotly sounds like a real word, Alex is CONVINCED that he did it on purpose. So, in Alex's book, Austin can say Dada, Mama and Yes. LOL
Maeve sure is cute!
