This post has about 8 million pictures. Not quite, but close... But here are some more pics of our little Maeve from these past (almost) couple of weeks.
And Maeve is pronounced "Mayv" or "May-ev" We kinda use both, or really kinda in-between-y sounding... It's Irish, and means, "she who intoxicates". Click here and you can find her name (in Gaelic it's "Maebh") and hear a real, genuine Irishman (Frank McCourt) say it and hear a little about it, too. Shoulda just taped my mom saying it, since she's a real genuine Irishwoman. Frank will do. Her middle name is Helen, and she's named mainly for Zachariah's maternal grandmother, a woman who was quite important in his life. She was pretty much a single mother to eight children, and ended up going to school to get her master's degree so she could teach and raise her children. There are Helens on my side, too, but Maeve is primarily named for Z's grandma. I have a "rich, beautiful, smart" Auntie Helen in Ireland ;), my mom's youngest sister, and a great-great-(great?) Aunt Helen who survived the Titanic way back when, too.
Anyway, the pictures!!
Beautiful little girlie...
The girls in our family. Not including Rob. Obviously (I hope). I went to church last Sunday, even though she was only a week old. Normally I wouldn't, but it was warm enough, and my little fella Bran was saying the opening prayer in Primary and I really wanted to hear him. He did great, and was so enthusiastic and loud! I love him!
Me and Granny with matching Nuala and Teresa. Brigit also matched, but I didn't get any good pics of all of them.
And Nuala and me with Tara with her little T. I had to put this in, because Tara's so cute. I'm sure she wanted me to say that, but still... AND, she's super crafty! I had no idea she made so many cute things until this extended stay! She made Brigit and Nuala cute little tulle tu-tus the other night. They were pretty easy, she let me help, but still, very impressive.

She looks like shes just thinking of the mayhem her and n&b can get into. I cant wait to see her and Gracie together this summer!
Congratulations! Maeve is beautiful, and I love the meaning behind her name. You look amazing, and everyone seems to be adjusting very well to the newest addition. Happy times!
THIS IS MOM ... oh, those pics are beautiful of those little ones ... they are surely fun to have around and get to hold ... love you all, Mom (Dad too) xox
She is soooooo beautiful Fiona!!!
My granddaughter is gorgeous! Such big eyes and she has hair. I always am amazed when a baby is born with hair. Mine were all bald except Sari who only had whisps of hair. I was delighted with the uniquness of her name and remebrance of my Mom. Love Gramabuttons.
That's the last time I get caught in the background of one of your pictures! :) She's a cutie, great pics! I love watching the girls with their babies.
She is so adorable, cute and beautiful! I think she looks a lot like Bran in her eyes and mouth.
So cute! Love all the matching outfits!
You need to come over and visit! And not just so I can hold that baby!! Call me so we can set a date!
I also love that your momand sister made a comment even though there right there w you!! :)
Maeve is so adorable! And the rest of you are too!
It was funny when Mike read your post right after Maeve was born. I thought he said, "Well, they had a baby. Maybe." Huh? He then told me her name was "Mayvee" -not Maybe. I am sure there are others like Mike, so thanks for the pronunciation help! I didn't know about the second pronunciation.
Oh, and seeing Maeve has gotten everyone here (except for Mike) wanting a baby girl. "But Mommy, she would be soooooo cuuuute"!- just like Maeve.
I'm so last place on catching the blog posts but congrats! she's a doll! :)
