FHE at Cibolo Creek

After picking up Sonic slushes (have I ever mentioned I LOVE those?) Monday evening we went to Cibolo Wilderness for Family Home Evening. It's nice and close, an important criteria when going someplace with small children in the evening. It's also fun, another important criteria! (And free, also important!) I didn't appreciate it so much in the time-before-twins, because Cibolo Creek is rather shallow and not quite exciting enough for Zachariah and me. But it's a nice, shady, relaxing area, and it's SO perfect for little kids. Here are Bran and Nuala and Rowan, checking out the dinosaur tracks there. I don't remember what type of dinousaur they're from...a dead one...

Walking to the creek...Aislinn and Grandad herding everyone along. See Declan's "hiking stick"? A big help in the rough terrain. Bran loves hanging out with Declan!

Splashing about... I love the cypress trees, their roots are so cool looking!

Afterwards, having the lesson...it was about nature, strangely enough, haha. Grandad usually is smilier, I caught him in a rare serious moment.

All the kids perched on a big stump, with Granny, Grandad, and Aislinn ready to catch any faller-offers. We had fun, we'll go back with Z when he gets here. Then, we head up to Oregon to go camping with his family. There's a really fun river we camp by up there, the Umpqua, so we'll get a lot of fresh water playing in to balance out the beach-going in Uruguay. Anyway, we had a good time, Bran decided to poop, and then wasn't happy to get his rear end washed off in the creek. The people downstream probably weren't too happy about it either, hee hee... :P
