My older sister Aislinn left last Wednesday after visiting us for a week. She brought her baby, Rowan, who's 2-1/2 weeks younger than Bran and Nuala. She left the other 4 at home, which kind of spoiled Rowan, he got used to not having to fear for his life anytime his 2-year-old brother ventured near, but, as usual, I'm digressing.
Her visit was two-fold. To see Erin and me and our families, and to go to the wedding of our good friend, Liz. Liz was Aislinn's roommate for a year at BYU, then I was roommates with Liz for the next couple of years. She's awesome! Anyway, we had a wonderful time having Aislinn here, Zac was a good sport and watched various kiddos often so we could have many a "girl's night" or "evening" or whatever.
Anytime we'd be out and about with the 3 babies, we'd get all sorts of "Are those triplets?!" comments. (See at left: Bran in stripes, Nuala in pink, Rowan in green) Usually we responded truthfully. Okay, we always responded truthfully, but wouldn't it have been fun to pretend a bit and watch the jaws drop? ;) Actually, downtown at the Art Gallery, one security lady didn't catch our standard explanation of "twins and a cousin," and just kept on murmuring, "Oh my, triplets! That's a lot of babies! My my..." as she poked her bomb-finding stick through the bag of the lady behind us. Aislinn thought we should just both stand by Zachariah and explain, "we're Mormon." Great fun, indeed.
*Disclaimer: The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints (AKA Mormons) does not practice polygamy, but many people still associate us with that practice. We would not have really said that, as some may have taken us seriously. Also, Zachariah would never want more than one wife, especially another Ricker, as he feels one is more than enough. Not more than enough. Exactly enough.

ha ha, your blog always makes me laugh. That is a super cute picture of the twins and Rowan. Why wouldn't Zac want more than one Ricker, I wonder?
The twins/Rowan pic is loosely modeled after the photo of baby Tara and baby Sarah ever so long ago...and, yeah, I wonder the same thing ;)
That was great!!! As usual, we enjoyed the diction.... and the threesome pic is sooooo cute!! Poor Zac, you can't win for losin' now can ya! Seriously, thank you for the big giggles you always give us... (that's your job). The babies all look so alert and happy and gorgeous....oh, they are all beautiful indeed. Love, Mom (and Dad too, just in case he doesn't get "time" to write his very own comment... heeheehee)
Rowan looks just like Liam/Briget!
Kristin and I said the same thing as Sara about Rowan!
Progress well we all have the baby rolled off the couch moments so dont feel so bad and yes they always start to move before your ready to baby proof! It sure is lots of adventure despite what some people think.
Rowan and Bran look alike! Twins triplets what a fun time Fiona. What a great trooper you are Zachariah. The smiles and and laughter that Bran puts out are just adorable and to see Fionula doing so much and in a dress so cuuuute! Love Grandma Buttons
