So, the babies are officially moving! I mean, we've seen them moving on the ultrasounds since 8 weeks, but now we can feel them, it's so cool! I felt the first little "inside" flutters about a week and a half ago (at 17w3d), then felt the first distinct kick (or punch) on the outside at exactly 18 weeks. Since then, not too much movement.
Last night (18w5d) lying in bed with my had on my ever-expanding stomach, I felt another kick. Zac put his hand in the same spot, and although I didn't really think baby would do it again, he did! Several more times, nice solid thumps. It was so awesome! So far it's only been on the right side, so baby on the left must be facing my back or has a cushiony placenta in front of him/her to work through...Zachariah immediately likened them to aliens growing inside me. Guess we watched Invasion too much. Or that Jamie Lee Curtis movie(s) that's always on TV...you know, Alien or something...
We have our Level II "in-depth" ultrasound next Friday, we're so excited! Finally we'll find out who's in there! If they both cooperate, that is.
