bleh

While we are THRILLED to be pregnant (if you didn't catch that in the previous post...we're pregnant. Well, I'm pregnant. And Nuala thinks she is.), it is a colossal bummer to be nauseous and morning sick for what will most likely be the entire time we are here in the States. Sigh. Do you know how I've dreamed of good Mexican food, Thai food, spicy BBQ, Popeyes fried chicken...??!? Ah, the carefully thought-out plans of where we'd eat in each city...now, even if I can choke it down, I feel so disgusting afterwards. Even the plethora of delicious fruit available right now makes me ill. Oh, the blueberries and apricots, raspberries and cherries, plums, peaches, strawberries... Sigh, sigh, and double sigh. Worth it, though.

Though thankfully, I'm not nearly as bad as I was when I was pregnant with Nuala and Bran. A definite blessing of only having one little baby in there! At least in my case. And I'm only 7-1/2 weeks along. Pretty early, so hopefully all goes well and I will continue to feel gross for several more weeks. Though I'd rather all goes well, and I DON'T feel gross, but I'll take it either way, as long as the "all goes well" part stays consistant.

Also, we're here! In the good ole' USA. Obviously. And have had a great and tiring time in Virginia seeing old friends and going to lots of appts., etc. for our next move. But, all that good stuff will hafta wait for another post. I'm kinda behind. And did I mention I feel pukey?

And just because I need a picture...all of us in front of the Washington DC temple. I've become addicted to taking family pictures in front of the temple and have some from the Montevideo temple I want to put up. And haven't yet. But here is the beautiful DC temple! And both children, somewhat smiling, and LOOKING in the general direction of the camera! Gasp.

Great family pic guys!! I am SO SORRY your trip home is thwarted by wanting to barf the whole time (although i am excited for why)! i know the feeling of having a mental list of restaurants you want to pig out at when you're home on vacation--it's like my favorite part of going home! (other than seeing family and friends....right.)

Oh, and so it's for sure just one baby in there and not multiples? me and kurt were wondering...

Well we had an ultrasound already that showed just one, so unless there's one or two they missed, which can happen, we're just having one! But, my hcg levels were lower than with the twins, and I don't feel AS sick, so I'm taking that as good signs for just one!

Great picture of the family in front of the Temple. We are sorry you are feeling pukey. Guess there will be more brisket for the rest of us! See ya tonight. Love, Dad (and Mom)

That is a nice family picture! I really do like your short hair, although I think I told you that before! I'm sorry that you're feeling yucky. When I was pregnant, I craved the spicy stuff too. It actually seemed to make my nausea go away. Don't think that is all too common though. And I was really blessed with no real morning sickness, just tiredness. It must be hard feeling yucky/pukey with those busy little kiddos and traveling around, but at least it is a distraction, right? Hang in there! 5 more weeks or so and you should be feeling quite a bit better, hopefully. But yay still, you're pregnant!
We can't wait to see you all!

That is a GREAT family pic. I love temple pics. I can't believe Greg and I will be in the U.S in 3 weeks to the day! I'm SO SORRY about the food. That REALLY stinks. I would feel so cheated. But, like you said, worth it.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Very exciting. You will be so blown away with how easy a single child is-- it's going to be a breeze. I am SOOO happy for your family. :)

Congrats! How exciting! i hope all goes well for you, as well! I'm imagining one should be a lot easier than two... but then maybe with two you just have to do and be so much you're too busy to realize how difficult it is. congrats again! (I'm so jealous)

Sorry you feel so yucky...I don't think I felt appropriately sorry for you the first time you had morning sickness, but now I understand a little better ;). Way cute that Nuala thinks she's pregnant too. I like the picture, I can't wait to see those cute twins!

Wow, that IS a great family picture! Ugh.... food is just so... comforting and delicious when it doesn't make you sick. Colossal bummer is right! And I suspect the fare won't be quite as nice in Bulgaria... just sayin...

First trimester is the cruelest part of pregnancy - when you aren't restricted by physical activity but feel wretched.

((hugs))
