This morning I was upstairs while the tykes were down (I know, not smart...) when I heard Bran calling to me: "Ban eat huevo, Mama! Ban eat huevo!" [el huevo = egg]
"Hmmm..." I thought. "No hard-boiled eggs in the fridge...Easter candy long gone or strategically relocated to the freezer... Dang it."
Booking it downstairs I found the eggs out of the fridge, but, surprisingly, sitting quite safe and intact in their container on the kitchen floor...Except for the lone victim of his culinary experiment. That one was evidently smashed open in the kitchen, plopped onto a little blue plate, and moved to the playroom, where it was oozing big yellow blobs onto the carpet. And Bran was so proud! It was really, really cute, and I was not irritated at ALL! He was just beaming, and sooo darn pleased with himself that I had to grin, too. He had taken such care with his one little egg, and got it all "ready" to eat. I'm pretty sure he did eat some of it, actually. And there was lots of egg slime on his clothes. Raw egg is so much fun.
What's ALSO so much fun (but in a real sense, not a raw egg sense), is actually watching Bran's explanation of the huevo escapade. And I am in no way biased. Well, I am...but even if I wasn't, I'm pretty sure I would think this boy was dang cute :
See what I mean?? And video translation (though y'all prob don't need it all that much): Open up huevo... Huh? huh? Cut it, cut it, ??? up, Noona... Kunk, kunk, kunk! Openin' it. Put in Ban's bowl. Eat it all up... Tummy! Me cook it! Cook it. Ban see.. Chau, chau!

That is a great story. Guess you could say the "yoke" was on you for leaving them alone! Thanks for sharing. Love, Dad and Mom
You are a real mom!!! I miss you! I can't believe you were my YW basketball coach... I should probably apologize for that. Your kids are stinking cute. I don't feel like a real mom because I don't have to chase Hunter around or tell him to stop or tell him to fold his arms during prayers. Haha
I love the video! Salt helps dry out the egg on the carpet making it easier to clean up. When Ryan was little he used to go to the fridge and crack open the eggs and eat the shells. Must be a boy thing.
No wonder Bran has been beefing up so fast--he is eating raw huevos while no one is watching. Next you'll probably catch him doing some hanging sit-ups or one armed pull-ups (Rocky style). Then again, maybe he is just your little chef... At any rate, the video was funny!

Super cute! I've never really heard him talk before!
So cute!
Lol, that is such a cute story! I love the video, what a cutie! I can't wait to see them both! And you guys too...
Oh, that is cute! So innocently done! It is hard to be angry with that! One time, when Jonah was around 2 1/2, maybe 3, he came out of the bathroom with a HUGE smile on his face. He told me that he wiped his own tushie. Poo was up his back and down his legs and all over his tush, but I couldn't be upset with him, he tried so hard to take care of himself and was so proud of his skills.
I loved hearing Bran tell his story with his little deep voice!
That was so darling! I remember being 6yrs. old and cracking hard boiled eggs on my head...and then my brother gave me one that wasn't hard boiled but I didn't know it...yep...runny goo all down my face...he laughed pretty hard.
Teach him how to make a shake to put the huevo in. Power up, Bran!
That was so cute! Remember, Tara could scramble eggs all on her own by the time she was 5...maybe it runs in the family, LOL! I can't believe how grown up your babies are getting! I can't wait to see you guys!!
oh man they grow up soo fast and man do they learn things you thought they werent ready for LOL
Oh he is adorable! I love his explanation--clunk clunk clunk!
Even unbiased, that was REALLY cute.
That just put the biggest smile on my face watching it!!! Bran is so adorable!!!! The "kunk kunk kunk" part was my favorite.
