Racing towards the little fishing boat, called Tres Lunas (Three Moons), being pulled out of the water. It was fun watching them try to pull it out, then shove it back in and reasses, then drag it out again...finally they made it. I told Z he should go help, but he wanted to build sandcastles instead.
See what I mean? (Warning: Don't look directly at his knees, you might damage your cornea...or retina...or whichever, maybe both...There! You did it! You looked at his knees! Aren't you sorry!? This sounds mean, but believe me, he can take it. And dish it out, too. Love you, Zac! ;)
Three things of note in this shot: The ever-occuring fútbol game towards the left, the shuffleboard set-up in the foreground (these were some very friendly Argentines), and you can't really tell from this far away, but there's a whole group of motorcycles parked there behind/to the right of the fútbol game. That's a super common sight, a little herd of motos, chillin' on the beach.
There's so many things to do at the beach! I've always just played in the water and on the sand. Never shuffleboarded, never played soccer, never sand tennis...just water stuff. I like how the beach fills a load of different entertainment needs here. And I guess it's prob somewhat similar elsewhere, too, and in the States, but I don't really remember it being so much like that when we used to go fairly often to South Padre...was it?
Oh, um...just the boat again, but Bran is looking very dramatic. Had to throw it in. Point that toe, Bran!
This was a fun spectacle for the twins. They're a pair of little gawkers. Bet they were thinking that looked very familiar, since that's kinda how they ride in their little seats on our bikes. There you have it...just a fun and ordinary afternoon at the beach. In February....don't know how often we'll be able to say that again!
By the way, I made countless -- COUNTLESS, I tell you! -- trips to fill up that darn moat for Bran..."más agua, Mama! más agua!" Just sucked it right down. And Nuala likes to smash the castles, so Z was constantly rebuilding, haha. Boy are we gooood at moat-filling and castle-building ;)

It's snowing today. Buckets. Can I tell you how jealous I am of your beach trips in February? Mucho.
The pics are so cute ... Z's knees look perfectly normal to me ... it prob wouldn't've been too much longer, and the twins would've gone after that bike and asked if THEY could ride up front :) It's fun that they are old enough now to enjoy building sandcastles and knocking them down again ... where better to make a big mess than at the beach! I just remember South Padre Island having people play with colourful beach balls in the water ... didn't notice much else ...other than regular water fun. xox
Way cute pictures, it sounds like a fun beach!
How fun! To have the beach so close right now, they are sooo cute. I can't wait to see them! That's a cute little boat and I can just hear litte Bran's voice "mas agua, Mama" He has such a little man raspy voice :0)
My knee's are not all that white, come on!!
Not compared to your tooshie... ;)
