Wow, I had a great run today!

Okay, here I am, about to post a cute video but I can't stop myself from telling all about my awesome run today... Here's the story. I actually don't really enjoy running for running's sake. I would much rather play some sort of sport or something, but running has the wonderful advantage of being an exercise I can do pretty much anywhere, anytime. No need to get a team together, I don't have to find a gym to join. Just go out and run. It's hard to make it out the door, but once I'm out I'm so glad. Not just because of the exercise endorphins, but because it's so nice to just be outside by myself, enjoying whatever elements there are to enjoy. Rain, sunshine, the nice breeze...and now, everything's blooming! It's wonderful, the different fragrances from the variety of flowers and trees on my route. I love it.

Okay, that wasn't the story, just babble. Here's the story. And it's not even really a story...all right, whatever, here it is: Today was great because I've had a cold for the last several days and hadn't been running. I thought for sure I would be way behind my average time, and that it would be somewhat of a killer since I'm still "recovering," but I was fine! Even made it on the better side of my average! I couldn't believe it. Though I should have been expecting it, obviously. I mean, I am super awesome ;) It was just a nice, breezy run. Beautiful weather. And I felt super cool because I wore my shades and running clothes that were slightly less frumpy than my usual baggy T-shirt ensemble. Yeah...nice. And the water was gorgeous! If it hadn't been so pretty I probably would have made even better time, but ya gotta slow down and just gaze...The sky and the sea actually coordinated today, different shades of the same calming blue. So beautiful.

Though I love it when they clash, too. Probably because I tend to do that sometimes. I love the combo of purply sky and slate-green water, THAT'S when I really slow down, those colors just pull me in. I always wish I had my camera when it's like that, but that's not very conducive to running. All right, I'm done! Just a terrific run. And now I can go back and read this post when I'm not all that excited about going...And now I'm going to post that video!!

Hmmm. I was actually debating going for a run myself then I got sidetracked by catching up on blogs... Now there is no time for me to go and I actually really want to!! Thanks a lot! haha. I'm glad you had a good run! Its always nice to just get out. I wish you guys lived nearby--I have been dying to rock climb but have no one to go with (yet).

Oh, I miss running! I haven't actually gone for a real run since before Jack was conceived. I just can't quite figure out how... I can put two kiddos in a jog stroller, but then Paige has to run too... Maybe I should ask Mike to let me escape on weekends. That would be nice. Mike, if you read this, I am going to need about 45 minutes on Saturday! Thank you for your motivation Fiona!

you made nice pictures for my mind with the sky/sea combo.... as well as the nice smelling flora ... those are bits and pieces one doesn't get when riding an indoor bike, or other such thing... KEEP IT UP FIONA !!!

So, today I went running. It WAS beautiful...I ran along Lake Washington. The sun was shining and the leaves were all different colors...so pretty. But, I felt like I was gonna die! I ran for about 2 miles. Not much, but I realized that I have not run since the day before Mother's day, 2006! I think I will have to try this more often.

Oh I used to love to run! I haven't run in a long time, I have to walk while holding M and pushing Z so I can't really run! And I won't do it at night here, there are to many wild animals! But your run sounded wounderful!
