Despite forgetting it was Fast Sunday today (should I be admitting that?? hey, we'll fast next week!), we had a good Sunday. Mostly because I taught Relief Society again, in Spanish, AGAIN, and whew! It's such a great feeling to not totally lead everyone astray just cause it's not my native language! Also, Bran and Nuala both went to nursery. Okay, that was a little bit sad. The nursery class, la guarderĂa, is pretty small, and Graciela and Rosario, the leaders, seem to be recruiting the littler ones...ours are only 14 1/2 months old! But, they love it, and why wouldn't they? Toys, snacks, other kids...
Our ward is awesome, Bran and Nuala have so many people wanting to hold them, and play with them. They have a little buddy, Guillermo, who just turned one. He's so cute! He's such a chub, last Sunday he was trying to pull himself up on Bran, and the poor boy was staggering around, in total need of rescuing from the little butterball -- he's gotta outweigh Bran by about 5 pounds, which is a lot when you only weigh 23. Guillermo went to la guarderĂa today also. Otherwise in Sunday School we have a little kid "corner," and Lucia (10 months) is usually there, too. She has so much hair. Dark red, always sticking up about 3 inches in two bushy pigtails, so cute!! Today in Sunday School, without any kiddos, I realized that I officially have the attention span of a schnauzer. I can say that because we had a schnauzer, and attention span? Ha! Maybe he was special. Good old Roger. Really, though, I couldn't focus, no doubt because it's been over a year since I actually sat through an entire class.
Hmmm...Nuala did have a frantic try-to-nurse-in-Sacrament-Meeting moment. You know, where two little hands are yanking up your shirt. Not good, I guess. But, I didn't sit on a wet wipe all through Sacrament Meeting like I did a couple of Sundays ago, and THAT is definitely a good thing...darn suspicious-looking wet spots...

The attention thing is a problem for me too I was starting to be able to pay attention again then I had Annie Oh well I guess some day it will come back!!
I enjoyed hearing about your Sunday...glad the RS lesson went well. It's also good you didn't have too much time to stew about it. Your mommy is very proud of you for being able to teach a lesson in Spanish:)....
Yesterday, at the Irish Festival, I encountered a man who spoke Gaelic....and so we had a little exchange there...I had to battle my brain to keep out the German words that wanted to seep in :)
Does that mean that N&B will be in nursery every Sunday now (since they are so well behaved in nursery as well...)? They'd prob miss it if you took them out...luckily, when they come here, they will be {about} the right age for the regular U.S. nurseries.....oh, but that'll mean we won't get to hold them as much...hmmm, "hold" ...maybe they'd be off running anyway.....
love you all, Mom (and Dad too) xox
Go Fiona, A lesson in Spanish, awesome! Sandy gave ours today, in English.
They are sooo cute! How fun, with all their little friends! That is sad, nursery and so young, but also good and fun, they are growing up! Do they hide your sunglasses?:0)
I feel kind of similar going back to RS after Primary. I've been back 3 Sundays now, still wierd.
Heh...can't believe that you found a way to reference Roger the dog...nice. My most enduring memory of him is the failure of all those shock-collars to keep him from barking incessantly. On a lighter note, the kids look nice in all the pictures, and I'm impressed by your Spanish skills.
I love the way you write your life...like a story...I could totally picture everything in my head...You crack me up!
Poor misunderstood Roger -- he was the perfect example! Yes, I guess they'll be "legally" going to nursery right about the time we're in TX. It will be better for all involved, trust me :)
Erin, I have smartened up somewhat and keep my sunglasses out of reach of little hands. I'll thank Liam for that next time we chat!
And since we prob won't have another baby/ies all that soon, I should have some baby-free church time before the next one/s. Oh, that's a bit sad sounding! But, guess I'll see how long it takes for my attention span to come back. It WILL return, it will, it will...
