Our babies are not quite babies anymore! This year has gone so quickly, and has been the best year of our lives! For the big day, Princess Nuala and Prince Bran were decked out in birthday finery courtesy of Aunt Maria' and the gang. We celebrated with yummy Wacky Cake topped with cream cheese frosting and blueberries. *Side note: Wacky Cake is one of the good things that came out of World War II, no eggs, milk or butter in it, but oh so yummy! It's what we used to have a lot for our bdays growing up...Despite forgetting to buy candles, it went over very well. Nuala snarfed hers down and decided to help herself to Bran's. Luckily, he's such a sharing boy (when he chooses to be...) that he didn't mind. Then we had dinner. They weren't exceptionally hungry for some reason...We are now the parents of ONE YEAR OLDS!!!!!

You know I actually teared up at this celebration! It's been so much fun watching them grow this year. They're darling! I love their hats! Congratulations parents for making it this far. (just wait until they're teenagers) anyways...enjoy them while they're young!!!!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

What a great birthday party, not only two beautiful children, but a great cake. It is the type of cake I usually had for my birthdays! I don't think I ever saw berries on my cakes. We look forward to seeing all of you for the wedding. Love, Dad and Mom

Wow! What a fast year! It seems like just a few weeks ago that I was with you in Virginia seeing the B&N, who were still so small and newborns. Congrats and Happy Birthday!
