Well, today is my sister's 30th birthday, so she deserves a special post. Sure, I know plenty of 30+ year-olds, but when your first sibling turns 30, I think that is a bit more real, as in, "wow, I'm next!!!" But, Aislinn, it's not old! (Tell me that in two years, too!)
She's always been a wonderful sister, looking out for the rest of us. When I was a baby and had to get my shots, my dear older sister didn't want me to get poked, so with her lightning-quick little hands, she ripped the needles out (twice) so violently that they snapped. Finally the nurse made her wait outside (thank you, nurse), but what a great sis, trying to save me from the pain!
And she didn't stop there...nope, not Aislinn! Another example, out of many...Once at a dance club in Ireland, an amorous chap tried to smootch me goodnight. He warned me with a "can I kiss you?" (not a question that should be asked) and as he came towards me, I heard a loud screeching noise and whaddaya know? There was Aislinn, clamping her hand over my mouth. That's the type of sister she was and is, always looking out for my best interests, never mind that I was 17 and about to go to college...at least I wasn't interested in the fellow. See, older sisters are great, they don't mind embarrassing you when they know it's good for you. (Lucky for me, I can also employ the big sister right to embarrass younger siblings ;)
So, here's to you, Aislinn, still forging the way for all us youngsters to follow...have a wonderful day, and don't stay up too late, you know how your old bones ache in the morning...

Just you two wait! Its your turn next ZAC! MUWhahaha! ;P
Ahem, Zac...I believe that would be "older than me". As one who is OLDER than you, I feel justified in correcting your grammar (that and Fiona told me I could, LOL).;o)Just you wait...13 days and you'll be singing a different tune...

That was a fabulous post. Greg told me about it. Both your stories are pretty unbelievable. Thanks for sharing. And the joke in the end, very witty.
