"What's this green stuff?!?"

Nuala and Bran are doing more and more each day, the little rascals! Nuala has been perfecting her little stance with one knee and corresponding hand on the ground, and the other side's foot flat on the ground and the little arm up in the air. Usually it's waving about. I don't know what she thinks she's going to do like that. Actually, it is a rather handy position from which to try and clamber up Mommy or Daddy's leg. Still no actual crawling, but who needs crawling when there are so many other ways to get around?
Bran sat up all by himself yesterday. This is the actual event. Nuala's almost there, still kinda wobbly.

This week's new food was avocado. I say "was" because it only lasted two days. You guessed it -- rejection! For now... Even after we told them how healthy avocados are for them, and explained about good fats versus bad fats, we got four thumbs down. Well, they're not quite that coordinated, so they just spit and made faces and clamped their little lips together. We're now trying sweet potatoes. The verdict is still out on those. Here are some avocado faces:

Hmmm...what else...they love, LOVE the cats. Especially Nuala. She grabs at them and laughs at them, this girl just loves to laugh! Especially at bigger little kids, but apparently Finnigan and Mushi are cat crack-ups, because they really elicit the giggles from her. She laughs at Bran, she laughs at Maz, Matt and Laura's golden retriever, and of course, she laughs at Daddy (no big surprise there...)!

They're becoming quite the handful, always distracted while nursing. This is what I deal with, little children trying to launch themselves backwards off the nursing pillow, at the same time! Bran especially can't seem to stop wiggling, he is the personification of "bouncing baby boy!"

Zachariah discovered a way to keep Bran still. Good old purple elephant. He's one of those toys that you pull his little string thing and he vibrates while the string thing is sucked back down. That was the worst explanation possible, but you all are so intelligent, I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about...Anyway, put this purple elephant on Bran's back, and the mini-massage just freezes the boy. Or put it on his head, or let him chew on it, it doesn't matter! Finally, the secret to Bran...

Hi F & Z & N & B.....that was great :) The pics are so cute...big grin on Nuala .... and Bran sitting up! Yes, I can see that they do not like the avocado fruit yet...give them time; what's not to like about avocado!
The launching pad pic is so funny... hmmm, considering their nursing position, that is one act they have over a singleton! I love all the updates... thank you for them. love Mom (and Dad too)

Hahaha! I love hearing about your life with twins. What a cute little mommy you are. My boys do not enjoy the avocado either! Who would think? I just end up eating it all. Yum for me? haha.

Clara had EXACTLY the same reaction to avocado. Sweet potatoes are still her friend.

Eww...she just spewed all over the kitchen floor. Gotta go.
