New Countdown
Yesterday at my OB appointment I was scheduled for my c-section, since baby A is still breech and smaller than baby B. Originally, we had December 15th set as our last-possible-day-for-delivery in mind, since Doc said "we'll deliver by 38 weeks." Apparently, what he meant was in the 38th week. There is a difference. So unless nature takes over before then, our babies are scheduled to come into the world at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, December 19th. At 38 weeks and 4 days. Okay, I'm a little bummed, because that's so much longer than I thought we'd be waiting...4 more days! Seems like nothing, but I'm already measuring 40 weeks pregnant, so full-term for a singleton pregnancy, and though I'm carrying well, it really is pretty uncomfortable, tiring, etc. But, it is better for the babies to stay in as long as possible, and that's what we'll focus on. So...4 weeks and 6 days to go!

That is torture! Any mommy with twins should be allowed to deliver at 37 weeks (when I delivered). It is only fair :)
Good luck! That is so exciting!!!
Oh, Fiona, it stinks you have to wait longer than you orginally thought. Hopefully they'll decide to come along a little earlier on their own. But hey, if you do deliver on the 19th, we might be in the hospital together - I'm scheduled for the 21st right now.
One of my friends is now an aunt to Fiona.
I was reading this news on her blog and wondered if I was losing my mind. I thought Fiona was having babies -- not becoming a baby.
I read it again. Turns out Laura's new niece is named Fiona!
Here's her blog post.
So much excitement these days!
