We had our second beta test yesterday, our numbers were 3574, 21dpo...Kinda high, so we're really hoping that means more than one in there! I was really glad at my appointment yesterday, the nurse, "Betty," who usually takes my blood was back! She's awesome, never has to poke around, I can barely feel the stick, it goes fast, and she's really nice.
On Tuesday, horror of horrors, Betty had taken the day off! What?!? Having your own life is not allowed!!! One of the doctors took my blood, and it was really not that cool. She praised my veins, then couldn't even get one right away, "Oh, they're lovely but they like to move!" They do not! Only to escape her...THEN, when she finally got it, the needle stung a ton going in, and kept stinging. She used this teeny tiny needle with a little hose attached that went to the blood vial, and it took FOREVER, stinging the entire time...She tried blaming it on how early it was and I hadn't drunk enough water yet, but I do the same thing at the same time for all my other blood draws, and Betty never has a problem...
But it doesn't matter, it's all worth it!
